Today 29th June, 2023, Ogun State Institute of Technology (OGITECH), Igbesa clocks 17 years and the Alumni Association had taken out time to celebrate through the media. The Chairman of the OGITECH Alumni Association (OGAA), Mr. Sholotan Kazeem said in a brodcast;
HURRAY! OGITECH CLOCKS 17, OGITECH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, CELEBRATES ITS ALMA MATA ANNIVERSARY
On this great day, we felicitate our reputable institute of learning on its 17th Anniversary. These past years, we have seen our citadel of learning gain massive recognition, both locally and globally. Right from winning the most compliant institution award by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) to claiming the top spot in a couple of Tech and ICT competitions.Our pride as we Celebrate this anniversary lies in the success of our products (graduates) across all fields in the world work. And as we journey on to attain excellence, our prayers are that the institution maintains great standards that place other institutions on the leading spot in national and global rankings.

However, Agemo Michael O, Also a member of the Alumni Association congratulates his Alma Mata for another year of existence and relates his desire for growth and development. He said:
There is a lot ahead of a 17-year-old child. A lot of room for growth is possible if potentials are spotted and well-groomed.
But if its guardians are lackadaisical, the child will grow up wayward. Gradually having its roots in evil and uncontrollable immorality.
It is my utmost desire that the stakeholders of this citadel wake up to the call of salvation to save the institution from threading the wrong path.
