SUECO MEETING HELD, SOBUUR EMERGED CHAIRMAN

It was published on May 10 2019 that the OGITECH Student Union Electoral Committee (SUECO) held her 15th student parliamentary Council (SPC) sitting at SBMS Hall 7 for the release of OGITECH SUECO for 2019/2020 academic session.

The sitting commenced 10:30am in attendance of five(5) honorable members Including SPEAKER of the house RT. HON.OLAWOYIN AFEEZ OLALEKAN (Dangote) ,
CEC MEMBERS led by COMR. KOLAPO OLUWATOBI (TBANKS), NANS REPRESENTATIVE , DEPARTMENTAL & ASSOCIATION PRESIDENTS , and representative from DIRECTORATE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS as observer.

The opening prayer was led by comr. Nathaniel followed by the aluta anthem led by Comr.Rf. Bankole olabode (Naoss president)
After nomination and screening of the appointed members across all faculty level according to the constitution guiding the union.

Below are the list of qualified candidates:

  1. AYINDE SOBUUR (SPAS)
  2. UBAH MARY JENIFFER (SBMS)
  3. ODEYEMI DESMOND (SES)
  4. AGOSU ANUOLUWAPO J . (SBMS)
  5. NATHANIEL UZOMA . (School of ENG) after so many deliberations there will be five (5) additional Members, which is 3 from HND 1 and 2 from ND 1 that will also assist the electoral committee in conducting the election.

AYINDE SOBUUR who contested for the last SUG Election eventually emerge as the SUECO CHAIRMAN by the way of 2/3 decision of the house.

The student union president COMR.KOLAPO OLUWATOBI also gave words of advice to the ELECTORAL BODY ELECT to deliver a FREE FAIR , CREDIBLE and TRANSPARENT ELECTION for the next administration of OGITECHSU.

The speaker of the house said the date for the inauguration will be communicated soon to general students and stakeholders
Motion was moved for the segment of A.O.B in which after the sitting was adjourned by comr. Yusuf balikis SUG GEN SEC, seconded by comr. Adetunji Emmanuel NASTES 001 and the closing prayer was led by Comr. Ajayi Akeem olaotan NANS OGUN JCC TREASURER
