Photos: One day Ramadan lecture greatly influenced OGITITES


The one day Ramadan lecture organized on Thursday 31st May, 2018 by the OGITECH Students Representative Council and Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) took place at the School’s Multipurpose Hall and was full of impact as students were enlightened and revealed the things which seem to be unknown to them.

The event started at about 11am in proper order of arrangement according to the programme and was graced by reputable persons in Islam and the Institution at large.

Alhaji Tajudeen Adeotan (Abu Mordiyah) who happened to be the lecturer of the day spoke om the topic; The youth dilemmas and way out in 21st century listed some eye opening points which interest every students to know about.

According to Yusuf Ridwan L, MSSN & NACOSS Academic Director; “Few of the things Alhaji Tajudeen mentioned as problems facing the youths are: cultism, sex, music, football, lack of ideology, laziness, failed educational sector, corrupt thought, unemployment etc. And he mentioned that focus, fear of God, improvement in educational sector, employment as some of the solutions to these problems”

However, the Dean of student affairs was also present at the event and she also her opinion on some of the listed problems and as well gave remedies.

Close to when the program was about to end after questions and answers section, a gift was presented on behalf of the school management by the Dean of students affairs to the lecturer after which MSSN shared an Islamic book to students that were present at the event for them to know more about Islam.

Its no doubt that the event was so full of impact as the response OGITECH Amebo got from some students in attendance were all positive when asked about the influence of the programme.

A students commended the organizers and gave more credit to the Student Representative Council for deeming it fit to organize such program and therefore advice that it be done in every other approved religion in the School – Damilola, Business Administration department.
