LOYOLA Jesuit College, Abuja and Grundtvig International School, Oba, Anambra State were among the schools that received the 2019 Outstanding Award at Africa Top Schools Award.
Other schools in this category are Olashore International School Ijoko- Ijesa, Nigeria Tulip International College Isheri, Marist Brothers Juniorate, Uturu, Abia ,Oritamefa Baptist Model Schools Ibadan, Ambassadors Schools Ota, Ogun State, Meadow Hall Schools Lekki and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model School Ilorin.
There were awards in Gold and Silver Categories presented to the Trinity International College Ofada, Ogun State, Faith Academy Gowon Estate Ipaja, Landmark University Secondary School and Holy Child College Ikoyi respectively. In the primary school category, Grace Children School Gbagada and Ifako International Nursery and Primary School Ifako- Agege received the Outstanding Primary Schools of the year.
In the individuals and company category, Rev Fr. Stanis Okoye of Loyola Jesuit College received the 2019 Outstanding Principal of the year, Deacon Patrick Nkwoh of Faith Academy Schools and Mulikat Sodeke of Ifako Ijaiye Govt Secondary School Lagos State received the Unique Leader in Education Administration Awards, while Mouka foam received the 2019 Best Mattress of the year.
Dr Olurinola Oluwakemi of the Onabisi Onabanjo University presented the Award lecture on “Effective use of E – Learning as drivers of Learning in Africa School. Mrs Ako Anna, a Director of Education that represented the Lagos State Ministry of Education spoke glowingly about the unique contribution of the Africa Brands Review to the educational development of Lagos State and Nigeria in general, through the yearly Africa Top Schools Awards. She said, the Lagos state Government is happy to be associated with the initiative.
Deacon Patrick Nkwoh, a Unique Leader Awardee was highly excited about the recognition given to the Faith Academy group of schools at the event, promising to mobilise the Faith Academy Goshen Abuja for the next year edition. He said, their group is been challenged to do more.
Joseph Ayodele, the executive secretary of Africa Brands Review (ABR) traced the history of the annual award to 2012 and plan to make the Top Schools Report a yearly event. He also said that the Nigeria University Report would be released in October while the Principal Academy would start in June.
