‘Many’ Burnt To Death In Tanker Explosion On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Scene of the Accident
An unknown number of people have died after so many cars were engulfed in a fire outbreak around Otedola Bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) more than 20 vehicles were affected in the inferno.
Security and traffic control agencies are yet to confirm how many lives and properties were affected but are currently rescuing survivors from the wreckages.

“Please be advised that the effect of this fire incident will be colossal in the next few minutes. Please cooperate with all law enforcement agents in the line of this. Alternative routes advised right from the Third Mainland Bridge.
“The traffic backlog as a result of the explosion of the PMS laden tanker is now as far back as the Third Mainland Bridge, backing up to the traffic to UNILAG Water-Front.
