It is with a heavy heart and great dismay we write to the unexpected death of an ND 1 student of Ogun State Institute of Technology, Igbesa (OGITECH) who was hit by a reckless motorcyclist at the entrance of the Polytechnic during the early hours of Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2020.Theteeming leadership of Nigerian students in Southwest ably led by Comrade Kappo Olawale Samuel join thousands of students of OGITECH to commiserate with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased and we pray to the Lord of Á luta grant him the best of paradise. May he give us all the fortitude to bear the loss. We pray that such saddening event never repeats itself again in our midst.
YUSUF MALIK, a student of the Computer Engineering Department of the institution, died on the sole cause of the fact that the institution clinic does not give proper medical attention to the deceased before he died after the fatal accident.
We urge the Ogun state government to as a a matter of urgency provide adequate medical equipments and an advance health care system in all the state owned tertiary institutions and also provide good and motorable road in the institutions environment.
#JusticeForMalik is also a demand Nigerian Students in Southwest Geopolitical Zone are demanding for, before we mobilize all armless battalion Nigerian Students in the Zone to make a forceful demand. The motorcyclist who killed our member should be prosecuted and punished accordingly under the law of the federation.
An Injury to one is an injury to all!
_Until all are freed,_
_All remain Slaves._
